Stainless Steel Tube Library: What is the hardness of American standard 316LN stainless steel tube
The hardness value of 316LN stainless steel in the "non annealed" state needs to be distinguished according to its specific heat treatment and processing state, mainly divided into two situations: solid solution state (annealed state) and cold work hardening state:
Hardness standard for solid solution state (annealed state)
After standard solution treatment (heating at 1010-1150 ℃ and rapid cooling), 316LN stainless steel is in a softened state, and its hardness meets the Chinese national standard GB/T 20878-2007 and international general standards (such as ASTM A240). The specific limits are as follows:
The hardness value of 316LN stainless steel is usually expressed in three ways based on international and domestic mainstream standards: Brinell hardness (HB), Rockwell hardness (HRB), and Vickers hardness (HV). The typical upper limit values are as follows:
Brinell hardness (HB): ≤ 187
Rockwell hardness (HRB): ≤ 90
Vickers hardness (HV): ≤ 200
The maximum hardness without annealing is 217HB
