Heat treatment
AISI 8620 can be heat-treated through quenching or normalizing to achieve the desired mechanical properties. After heat treatment, its tensile strength can reach 545 MPa to 795 MPa. The specific heat treatment parameters are as follows:
Normalizing temperature: 870-930 °C (1600-1700 °F)
Annealing temperature: 860 °C (1575 °F)
Carburizing temperature: 930 °C (1700 °F)
· Reheating temperature: 775-840 °C (1425-1550 °F)
